magnolias and cherry blossoms, always a wonderful time of year

My favourite magnolia is blooming!

I walked by it today. It is has big pink cups for flowers, soft and sexy, and it just casually hangs out on the side of Granville Street.

I can't wait for the extraordinary and enormous magnolia in the yard next door to start blooming. I'm thinking of asking the neighbours if I can climb their tree and hang out for a bit amongst the blossoms. They make me absolutely giddy.

And cherry blossoms have been out for over a week now. It's a positively heady experience to walk around these days.

I love this city.
