wonderful parade

ever so glad i didn't give in to that temptation to back out of the parade. it was ever so wonderfully marvelous!  extremely so. and i am ever so very very happy about everything about the evening.  a beautiful reminder of the importance of being with the right people.  i genuinely liked the people i was with last night, and they were genuinely good people.  and that is delightful.

wow did i ever get socialed out last night.

it's funny.  i love being social, but i'm essentially an introverted person and every now and then it just hits me, and i want to run away and hide.  

the evening started off with me being in a dangerously flirtatious mood on my way to a party, but at around 11, i was just done.  done done done.  ready to go home and never go to another party again.  well, maybe not quite so extreme as never again, but probably not for a while.   unfortunately, im already committed to a hallowe'en party next week, and we're marching in the parade of lost souls tonight, and i can't really back out of that... but oh it's tempting.

ok, so a year has passed and i am back in vancouver.  Feeling fairly rooted here, oddly enough.  quite liking it, overall.

the summer was spent in Radium at the VRC working for Parks and fraternizing with the Chamber staff.  It was glorious fun, fun working environment, fun job, wonderful people to work with.  really can't ask for better.  

Hiked almost every weekend. Saw lots of some very dear friends, much more of some than expected, and not as much of others as hoped, but overall I basked in the glory of time spent with loved ones.

Formed a new club - the KBC.  Ask me individually about it... it's a bit racy for public domain!  

and now im back in vancouver.  been back a month and a week.  Living in a new apartment, which i love.  big room, wonderful roommates, perfect neighbourhood.  I love it.  love love love it.  working as a TA for Sociology 100 (must go mark my first set of papers there now the once), living across the street from my yoga studio (which i actually can't afford until I have another job, but that's another story).  still playing with the marching band, and having ridiculous amounts of fun with it (I'll post about that later).  working on my thesis.  love the topic but having difficulty staying focussed and being prodcutive.  today is a beautiful case in point.  It's 11:20 in the morning and so far I've eaten breakfast, talked on the phone, and posted a blog entry....  not good performance at all.
